MS. STEEL: The leaflets that you collected in the couple of
following days after the picket on 16th October 1989, can
you tell us exactly what you did with them?
A. I exactly handed them to Barlow Lyde & Gilbert.

Q. You did not do anything with them prior to that?
A. No.

Q. You did not write on them?
A. I do not think so. No, I do not think I did.

Q. Had any of the people who had picked them up written on
them?
A. I could not tell you; I did not examine them that
closely.

Q. So you did not ask the people who handed them to you about
the circumstances of how they got them?
A. No.

Q. Did you keep copies for your own files?
A. No.

Q. When did you next see the leaflets?
A. Sorry, when you say "copies", do you mean the
originals?

Q. Either.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: This is something which troubled me
yesterday, because "copy", the word "copy", obviously is
equivocal, is it not?

MS. STEEL: Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: I do not mind the use of "copies" of the
leaflet meaning different leaflets.

MS. STEEL: Yes.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Perhaps we could use the word "photocopy" for
something which is just that; it sounds a bit pedantic but
otherwise there may be some confusion.

MS. STEEL: I understand. (To the witness): Did you keep
either original copies or photocopies?
A. I kept some photocopies.

Q. You kept some photocopies?
A. Yes.

Q. What happened to them?
A. I think they were placed in one of my cupboards until
such time as all the material that I had was passed over to
our solicitors, which would have been two years ago.

Q. Around the time that you were making the statement?
