       them?

MR. MORRIS: The same people. I am saying you tried to find out
if these people had been on other pickets or anything like
       that?
       A. I did not bother.

  Q. You did not bother. So, what you said before about
checking up, if there were themes and individuals roaming
around the country, that was just a load of rubbish then,
you did not actually do that?
       A. Sorry, could you say that again?

  Q. You said the purpose of asking people to do reports and
take photographs from local stores was to try to check if
there was, for example, some people that were going to many
different stores. Here we have a demonstration organised
       by London Greenpeace ---
       A. Yes.

  Q. -- who probably, we can all agree, were involved in a
campaign against McDonald's, printing leaflets or whatever,
and you never checked if any of the persons involved in
this demonstration were the same as had been elsewhere?
       A. No, I did not.

  Q. So, in fact, your collection of photographs from other
       stores was a worthless exercise?
       A. Well, no, because I knew that London Greenpeace was
responsible for this one. I had been checking with the
others before and I did not see any common denominator
       between any of the stores.

  Q. I am just having a think -----

MS. STEEL: Just to compare the statement and the report: If
you look at paragraph (9) of your statement and at the same
time the largest paragraph in your report, if you ignore
the paragraph that has big bits blanked out, the
description of the events is virtually the same, is it not?
       A. I would accept that; it was a set of facts which
       I witnessed.

  Q. You would accept that the description is virtually exactly
       the same?
       A. I would say it is very similar, yes, but I would not be
       surprised at that.

  Q. Including inept juggling tricks ---
       A. Yes.

  Q. -- getting into a cow suit and performing a play aimed
against the Company, except that in your report it says:
"They distributed leaflets to passers-by and unfolded the
London Greenpeace banners and anti-McDonald's placards",
whereas in your statement it says "... and distributed
       'What's wrong with McDonald's' leaflets to passers-by".
       A. Yes.

  Q. Is that something you added because you knew that the
