Day 237 - 18 04 96 - Page 42

       labelled "T stop C1"?
       A. I have no idea.

  Q. Could I suggest that those leaflets were all obtained on
the same day and it was the 16th October, 1991?
       A. No, not as far as I know.

  Q. Because you have said that TC3 was obtained in May '91?
       A. If I have said that, that is when it was obtained.

  Q. Well, you do not think you might be mistaken about that?
       A. Not if that is what is shown. You must bear in mind
there were literally hundreds of these leaflets sent to me,
coming into Head Office by all sorts of manner and means.
It is difficult to know which ones were taken when, but if
I have said in my statement that it was obtained in 1991, I
       must have meant that.

  Q. But, I mean, that is exactly the point. You have hundreds
of leaflets coming in from all over. You were taking them
over to Barlow Lyde & Gilbert and then three years later,
two years later in this case, you are putting them in the
statement, at which point you are labelling them?
       A. That -- as far as I remember, that is what occurred.

  Q. It is quite possible that you could have made an error in
       the labelling?
       A. If I have said in my statement that the particular
leaflet was obtained on a particular day, then that would
       be true.

  Q. Can I just ask you about leaflet No. 13 which is behind
       TEC5?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Just pause a moment. (Pause).

MS. STEEL: Can you just tell us whose signature that is on the
       leaflet?

MR. RAMPTON: I have got the original, if that will help. The
signature appears there in full in a different coloured
ink. (Same handed). It is the one I did not have
       yesterday.

MS. STEEL: No, that is not the right one, No. 13.

MR. RAMPTON: I am sorry. It may be I have the wrong one.

MS. STEEL: 13 or 14 will do. They are both the same
       signature.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Do you recognize the signature from the
       photocopies?
       A. I do not, my Lord, no. It could be David Hornblower,
       but I am not certain.

  MS. STEEL: Right. OK.
       A. It is not a signature I am familiar with.

  Q. In your second statement, paragraph 3, you said in relation
