: wut up wit all dis "bible shmibe"? Smibe? that word rules! Thanx, i'll use it. ;)
: i have never been able to understand bible advocates who treat the "non-belivers" with bitterness. isn't one of the most important messages of Jesus that we are all equal? if you call you self a christian, a follower of christ, i just don't think that you should put down the "non-believers".
Just like I've never undestood how any one could dare call themselves a christian and still support the death penalty, rank hypocrisy methinks. Just ignoring the whole 'Thou Shalt not kill', or William Blakes point that the only thing that distnguishes christianity from otehr religions is teh forgiveness thang, its simply that:
'esus said, "mosses said 'and eye for an eye a tooth for a tooth' but I tell you most solemnly [he was always saying things solemnly] if your nieghbours tears your cheek, offer him the other one."' I don't think we need a clearer statement than that, now do we. yet many hypocrits call themselves christians and support teh death penalty...
