:Maybe perform a few polls before you start popping words into the :mouths of 2 billion people. Or are you redefining the term :christianity to exclude such "infidels"?Come on out to my kneck of the woods. Oh sure, we've got the non-Bible thumping variety also, but these types are scarce and viewed with disdain by the "real deal". They are considered to be spiritually misguided, un"saved", posers that are giving "true christianity" a bad name, drop-outs that just don't get it. Anyone, even an ordained priest, that was wishy-washy on this point would get slam-dunked out here. Its the "Christians" themselves doing the defining and redefining.
And what kind of "ordained priests" have you been running around with?
Certainly not the ones on TV, radio, newspaper, or Internet. These folks, and the people that watch them, may not be all fire and brimstone, but they are not "fence-straddlers" on the bible errancy issue - no sir. Its not the Bible that's screwed up, its just US not trying hard enough to understand the kooky thing, that's why they keep spewing sermons about it. Christianity's presence as a practiced religion is predominantly fundamentalist by nature. There may be a little room for interpretation but no room at all for blasphemic claims of outright error. Your aquaintences aren't "christian" in anybody's eyes except they're own, just ask the CHRISTIANS.
None.
