[Frenchy:] : If you and your ilk ever got the reins of power there is no doubt in my mind that the same thing that happened in other countries would happen here. It is the nature of the beast.

*You mean like transitioning the literacy rate in Cuba from around 45% to over 94%; moving from no medical care for the vast majority of the population to the highest number of doctors per thousand of any nation in the world (214); to a life expectancy of over 75 years as opposed to 55 years under Batista; zero unemployment; zero homelessness; health care for all; education for all... and all despite a 38 year economic embargo enforced by the most powerful nation in the world? I could live with that stigma.

The people leaving on rafts thing... it never ceases to amaze me just how much delight a rightwing jackal can take at this fact. Offer automatic citizenship to any Haitian or Dominican who washes up on US shores and let's see how those capitalist worker's paradises fare -or- lift the embargo and allow Cuba to conduct its own trade free from coercion, then pop off.* --K

p.s. The 'reason' you post such snippets from articles sympathetic to the CANF, white supremacy, and the right wing in general is because some people will always be willing to pick a penny out of the gutter with their teeth, if they believe it's the only way open to them.
