So? So what? If it was a natural famine etc. you wouldn't careless so why now that's your political opponents?

I could indicate any of the many, many famines, hardships etc. created by capitalism and capitalist planning it wouldnt serve to further my argument so dont try to further yours by insisting these sorts are socialists.

: I would not presume what 'the people' wanted, and less inclined to lump their wishes together in some compromised package deal wich satisfies no one.

I have not presumed anything any documentary that I've seen on the soviet union has the opposition talking about the lack of freedom of speech, freedom of movement, freedom of association, freedom of religion I havent seen anything other than propaganda that suggests that the people in the soviet union really wanted a system of privately owned command economies.
