Don: Basically, the regulation consists of requiring the said citizen to always be within 15 minutes of said assault rifle, and to always maintain a minimum supply of ammunition (24 rounds) in a sealed container. Said citizen can obtain as much extra ammunition for storage or target practice as said citizen desires--the cost of said ammunition partially paid for by the government (assuming the ammunition is 7.5 mm Swiss or 5.56 mm NATO. Ammo that is not Swiss issue the citizan must pay for fully by himself). Said citizen must qualify with said weapon. He can also obtain other weapons, pretty much as he wishes--many Swiss citizens own neat stuff like MG-42s.
