Ronald is indeed a disgruntled McDonald, and I have the inside info. Seems big R has a beef with the purple oaf, and it's not of the burger sort. At one time, sure, they were swell buddies, but Grimace changed when Mayor McCheese was rooted out. He became bitter, and relations between he and Ronald crumbled. So, Grimace was for a while reduced to janitorial duties - until big R's visit to the facilities, where Grimace was discovered cleaning the toilets with a burger spatula. Of course, a fist fight ensued, and since Grimace has no fists, Ronald issued a royal McBeating to the beast and fled. Reprimands were made, and apologies eventually, and of course, even though Grimace was traumatized, and slightly injured, the bruises were never visible on his already purple flesh, so he was back to shooting commercials the next day. None.
