: Could somebody tell me who's going to look after all these cows when we stop eating them? And they've over run half the country shitting every where. (I eat beef once every three years.)

Cow are created by the meat industry through artificial insemination and other methods specifically designed to increase their numbers. As meat-eating dwindles away, cows will not be produced to replace their killed brethren. When meat-eating stops completely, the (relatively) few remaining cows will be looked after by their former slavemasters and the general public; we subsidize the meat industry now with our tax dollars in terms of grazing fees, access to public lands and water, and outright subsidies from the USDA (in the United States, anyway). These tax dollars will instead be used to care for the cows until they die. It's the least we can do for them, after all we've done to them.
