I'm also from the Springs and pleased to report that many people are still refusing to eat at Taco Bell following the Beth Clements/KKFM fiasco. The boycott has spread via the internet to other states. Why? Because Beth is a symbol of something much larger than her firing - corporate strong-arm tactics. She just happened to be in the right and charismatic enough to be a great mascot for the cause of curbing the power of these giant companies that think that they can do anything and treat people any way they want.
Think of the money Taco Bell makes every year by taking 25 cents from every person who wants to change an ingredient. Their food isn't pre-made. It takes exactly the same amount of effort to make something with beans instead of meat. They simply believe that you're stupid enough not to notice that they just charged you a quarter for the stuff in the little trough that THEY NEVER EVEN TOUCHED. I think that it's this exact attitude that was responsible for the formation of this page to put a stop to that kind of behavior.
Interested in more info? E mail me and I'll fill you in. Remember...just say 'go to hell' to Taco Bell. -vicki
