ruth: All you cry babies out about unions ,why don't you leave it along.

Qx: The name calling doesn't work too well and I think you meant leave it alone didn't you? Well, too bad ruth. We're going full steam ahead and organizing.

ruth: McDonalds is and always a starting point for those of you who never had a job.

Qx: Just trying to understand the jumble is bad enough but to assert that McDonald's is a starting point is to contradict McD's official propaganda that McDonald's is a place to start a career.

ruth:I is for teaching new skills.

Qx: Oh you are? How very quaint of you! Please verbalize that and see if it makes sense to the people you know at work.

ruth:Working with other people, dealing with other people. Is apparent that all of you who are complaing should get oof the pot and find something else.

Qx: Sure that's life as a human being. Working and dealing with other people but I prefer to work and deal with people in an environment that isn't degrading such as the current situation in McDonald's. Also if you think some of us are on pot or on the toilet then you have a strange imagination.

ruth:You are taking up a slot that someone could be working.

Qx: How do you know that? What if the mamgement decides to downsize at the first hint of workers organizing? Just look at what happened in Quebec.

ruth: TEENS TODAY DON'T WANT TO WORK FOR THEIR MONEY THEY WANT IT TO BE HANDED TO THEM,WHILE OTHER CREW ARE BUSTING THEIR BUTTS ON THE JOB AND WORK HARD TO GET PAID AND TO GET AHEAD.

Qx: In other words you're saying that teenagers who work at McDonald's are just lazy and everybody else on the crews at McDonald's does the real work and by being paid low wages can expect to get ahead in life? Is that it? It sure doesn't look like you have much respect for other humnan beings. Especially teenagers.

ruth: GET A LIFE YOU GUYS

Qx: we all have our lives. It's really a matter of needing to have a measure of autonomy within our lives to allow all of us to not merely exist as cogs in a machine. Which is pretty much how the workplace is when you work at McDonald's. Or have you gotten too used to McDonald's to not realize that democracy in the workplace is an issue at all?

ruth:.mCdonalds never had you sign a contract that says you are here for life.

Qx: True enough but with enough intimidation and coercion being drubbed into the mostly young workforce at McDonald's there isn't much need for a lifetime contract.

ruth:Move on to something else there is always someone else who will take your place.

Qx: Maybe even someone who'll sign a union card!
