I don't mind helping those truly in need...

I don't mind helping those who are willing to help themselves. What I was referring to were the ones pissed off because they can no longer ride the gravytrain that has been begrudgingly provided by the taxpayer all these years.

Word on the street locally regarding customer service has included those previously-contented welfare recipients who take it out on the customers, and show all sorts of other poor work ethic traits. This both vocally from people I've had conversations with and from the liberal-slanted news media, which is not supportive of business.

Again, I've got three relatives which my parents have known much longer than I have, who have pretty much always sat on their butts. They're drawing SSI "disability" checks, contributing to Social Security's woes. In the future I will expand my views on public assistance in the "Anything Else" room, and I'll remember to write the Web addresses down so there will be at least one link in that post to back me up, possibly from the Fox News site or the Libertarian Party website if they have one.

Later!

Mike.
