Well, I've seen the Don Lapre info-mercial several times. Let's see if I can remember the three "making money" methods he "stumbled onto": ah yeah, tiny ads across the country, internet, and uh what was that last one? Oh yeah! The phone-sex lines (Dial 1-900...), or was that psychic? Don's all for "helping the little guy". I think I'll call his number when I log off...

Well, Flint, what's the point of operating a business if it doesn't take off, grow and thrive? I mean any business, be it a McDonald's franchise, a sporting goods store, or even an adult book and sex toys shop? What can I say? Money is the motivator...

Can you really tell me straight out that if you, Qx and others went in on a McD franchise (or veggie food franchise), that you'll all be happy with "just breaking even"? Let alone be "one big happy family"? And what about lean periods where total expenses EXCEED total revenues? I don't know about you, dude, but I'd kinda like the cushion or ottoman named "Profit" that I can fall back on, so I won't bruise my butt on the hard floor. Metaphorically AND physically, that hurts!!! I'm sure any McD franchise owner would agree with me on that!

In closing, I'm not mad at Bill Gates, McD Corporation, OR my bank CEO or its stockholders. Nor am I mad at my local McD franchise owner. You can go as far as you want to with the right determination.

Now let's see... Brian McCourkle? Oh that's right, he's in jail, last I heard...

Mike.
