Safety probe at McDonald's

The McDonald's fast-food chain yesterday began a nationwide inspection of restaurant equipment to confirm compliance with safety standards after the electrocution on Friday night of Wollongong University student Michael Ian Johnston, 19. Mr Johnston, who was cleaning behind a stove at a Wollongong store on Friday night, was pronounced dead on arrival at Wollongong Hospital.
