:: Why don't you stick out your tongue and say nana nana booboo while your at it to add some more sophistication and ellegance to your arguement? It sort of has that tone already. Once again it still sounds like you are saying "I'm superior because I said so".

I'm saying human superiority is manifest. But this argument of mine is only in response to those who consider men as equal to animals. I, of course, believe God created us as lords of this planet. You could say I think I am superior because God says so. That suits me. Disagree if you like. But if you'd like to call man an animal, how do you justify a moral judgment of meat eating without setting man apart from the animals that also eat meat? What seperates man from the animals, Karen?

:: All your examples that are flattering to humans can be equalled while speaking of millions of other plant and animals species. Sure we have many amazing and wonderful aspects that set us apart, but we are without doubt not alone in this.

you guys clinging to collectivist ideals.

::, yadayada. Saying you are equal isn't painful, honest. It is very freeing to know you are an equal part of the universe, no more or less

Actually Karen, freedom is knowing that guilt is crucified with Christ.

:: important than any other in the greater scheme of things. Perhaps it is you who would be killed by accepting this, not vice versa. I feel no need to be superior.

Karen, what do you do for a living? Aspire to equality with birds and butterflies? I bet not. I imagine that the world forces you to compete with others to scratch out your living. If you truly feel no need to be superior to animals, why aren't you foraging for berries now?

:: From what i've been taught, Jesus was a very humble person with out a superiority complex. Perhaps he learned this way of thinking from God.

Would you like me to list the numerous biblical references in which Christ deifies Himself, Karen? He was "humble unto death" because He was willing to offer Himself as the "lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world" but not before He made it perfectly clear to His followers that He was God in the flesh.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us...and we beheld His glory."

It was quite clear to John who Jesus was - even if it isn't quite clear to you. If you would be taught anything of Jesus, learn that He is the freedom from guilt and shame that we all seek.
