I feel that I should say thanx for the kind words in your above post. At the same time I want to point out that charges of 'homophobia' is one of the Left's great bogeymen. To disagree that homosexuality is abnormal is the same as declareing that the sun doesn't rise in the East, that men walk upright and that rain falls.
Homosexuals lied about the supposed genetic basis of their proclivity, for obvious political reasons, and when the scientific evidence failed to materialize they switched tactics. Now the mantra is 'consenting adults', another sacred cow being foisted on the public by the Left.
Homosexuals have additionally aided in creating the lie that HIV/AIDS is a disease that can strike anyone, patently untrue and in fact strikes those who go out of their way to contract it.
Homosexual activists have also attempted to force psychiatrists and psychologists not to practice reparative therapy for those homosexuals who do want to change and have gone so far as to attempt to have professional sanctions applied to those mental health professional who afford patients that choice.
Remember the recent assertions that 10% of the general population is homosexual? That was based on Kinsey, throughly discredited. Yet that claim is perpetuated in public schools.
"Homophobia" is a charge made by people who want no opposing points of view. (Yes, I also have friends who are homosexual and I feel no fear being around them. As a matter of fact one such friend in particular is exceptionally fine company; a former seminary student, an avid opera buff, a wide reader, a lively imagination, discerning tastes, and celibate IAW RCC teaching. And he's a conservative to boot.)
McSpotlight: This subject belongs to the Anything Else room, not this one; I will repost it there; please provide followups to that room; as I'm sure that many of you are going to refute Frenchy at great length about this post...
