: Yeah, Hitler was elected after all the only way in which it could be signed, sealed and fail safed really would be to employ an Anarchist/Libertarian Socialist flying column to tour around and arrest Machavelli's like that, going to war with totalitarian regions or communities where they posed a threat to everyone else, this happened in Spain.

Actually, Hitler wasn't 'elected" with an overhwelming mandate, the wya people often make the mistake of thinking. Most Germans knew he was a racist nut and feared what might happen if he got into power. Because of feuding between the social democrats, communists, liberals and otehrs, they could not beuild a popular front against him and a conservative was elected in thee arly '30s. Hitler atthis tiem ahsd a significant minroity of votes, I think a third or something liek that? The conservative, Hindenburg, was scared of Hitler and appointed him to a high position; the Nazis then seized emergency powers after bruning down parliamanet and blaming it on the communists (as ususal) and the reign of horror began. So Hitler never did become teh leader of Germany through the ballot box, but rather by opportunism and seizing of emergency powers.
How about having a law, like they do in India, saying that parties which incite ethnic strife or hatred are to be expressly banned?
