It is good to hear of someone with a good work ethic Andrew. Do you realise that that good work ethic can be transferred to a more worthy employer? If mcdonald was to totally close down the public still need to eat and it is highly likely that more ethical businesses would prosper and you could apply for a job somewhere else and perhaps earn more money.
