I'm not sure how much McDonalds is involved, but being the largest fast food restraunt they have to have a large percentage of it. 20 bison are killed a day by cattle owners in order to protect them from diseases. Millions of bison roamed the earth before the white people came.
The rainforest is continually cut down so that people can build cattle ranges. Potential vaccines are lost in the process.
I personally asked a staff member from McDonalds, and they're beef isn't 100% cow. Until 1980 McDonalds used kangeroo meat in chicken McNuggets.
Despite all of this millions of people a day flock to McDonalds, just supporting all the killing and chopping. Meat is murder, (off the topic) so are abortions.
