Is there such a thing as doing the right thing? As hard as it sometimes is to believe, real people run these big corporations, make these life destroying decisons all in the name of profit. Sometimes I wiah I didn't have a socialistic conscience so that I might aspire to be one of those superwealthy ceo's....
Unfortunately for me, however, I do have a very socialistic conscience, and to me doing or trying to do the right thing and paying whatever cost I must is a better deal than sacrificing my conscience for the wealth of the entire world. I believe Sir Thomas Moore said something similar a few centuries ago. He was, of course, eventually executed for holding to his morality. One would hope that humanity has made some progress in those intervening centuries, but all the evidence seems to weigh against that conclusion.

If I offered you a billion dollars and all you had to do was to torture and kill a little child, would you accept?
Now, compare that to the suffering caused by big business....
