Methane turns CO2 into energy and produces oxygen? That sounds totally
wrong to me. If I remember rightly, methane is a hydrocarbon. In which case,
burning it releases CO2 into the atmosphere. And uses up oxygen.
I agree with the rest of your post, by the way, but I'm afraid this claim
strikes me as obvious rubbish (sorry!).
