I'm a crew person in Canada and I think that rap sessions are great. It shows that the company or operator wants our input. They are helpful to get things done in the restaurant. It's similar to filing a grievance without having to pay union dues. I do not care what the reason is for having it I just want the opportunity to express my feelings. It's also beneficial when someone from the office ex. Supervisor or Business Consultant comes in to do the rap. My manager also ecourages us to talk to him whenever we would like about problems at work, home or school. Maybe I am just one of those brain-washed happy employees- maybe I should be swayed by your negative postings but I am not. I see my friends working for less money than I do and not getting the benefits I get.
