Eric,

Solidarity fellow worker! Glad to see you were taking my advice about McSpotlight. Its an undeveloped resource for lots of different workers to get together and discuss things. That is, aslong as we keep in mind that not only our fellow workers read the board, but the bosses do as well! So its good just to say what you want them to know as well. I'm sure the IWW has made it into their union busting manual only with all the solidarity picketing we were doing when Bryan and Jamal got fired.

So, now the heat is on... the management is onto you, they've flown in the big guns and are busing in potential scabs. Now would be a good time if other McDonald workers were ready to try and unionize to go for it.

If you haven't already, in addition to talking to some of the Wobblies in IU640 Restraunt Workers in Portland, and Gainesville, and the IU640 Mailing List. Also, be sure to talk to fellow worker Jeff Brite who recently was involved in organizing at Applebee's down south.

Jamal Nickens and Bryan Drapp (330) 467-4581 were recently fired for organizing at a McDonald's in Ohio... I'm sure they'd be happy to give you the dirt on the McBosses' dirty tricks. They were organizing with the Teamsters.

You might also contact the Canadian Auto Workers (CAW) because they've organized a couple of McDonald's up in Canada as well as some Kentucky Fried Chickens and Starbucks.

Anyway, good luck! If there is anything we can do, don't hesitate to ask.

Solidarity Forever,

Flint
