Okay, so you're saying group utility is measure by raw crime data? Hmmm, that's very utilitarian of you. Let's see . . . we might even be able to eliminate crime if we pooled all our resources toward this end. Of course, we'd all be right around subsistence level, but, oh well, we'd be crime-free.

I don't argue with anything you say. Just it's relevance. You think that low crime rates trump any other claims for well-being; I don't. That's your opinion this is mine.
