Sub-subsistence

"Subsistence level", huh? Well, of course that would be a large step up for large numbers of the world's population. Including teh 840 million people who go hungry. many of the world's peopel would be more than happy to have the basic emans of subsistence, so maybe we in the West should keep that in mind before we gone about a "subsistence economy."

By the way, I did not say that crime rates trump every other measure of social well being. You asked for examples of the pragamtic benefits of socialism. I supplied four, of which the lower crime rates were only one.
