asked them about the organisation, invited them to come
over where I would show them and they added the officers
and they could make use of any facilities they wished.

  Q. When was it that they told you my identity and Mr.
       Gravett's identity?
       A. When they came over to my office.

  Q. Right. You have mentioned that they showed, or that you
had been shown, photographs of myself and Mr. Gravett?
       A. Yes, that is right.

  Q. Was it them that showed you photographs?
       A. Yes.

  Q. They told you our names?

MR. JUSTICE BELL: What was the answer to that?
       A. Yes.

MS. STEEL: They told you our names?
       A. Yes, they did.

  Q. Just my name and Mr. Gravett's name?
       A. That is the only two names they gave me.

  Q. What about the name Webster?
       A. When they were talking about you, they said that we
believe she uses another name. I cannot remember whether
they said Helen Mary or Mary Helen Webster.

  Q. So they did not point out in the photographs and say 'that
is Helen Webster or Mary Webster'?
       A. No, they knew you as Helen Steel.

  Q. Why was it you served writ in the name of the Webster?
       A. Simply because it was a possibility that you were also
called Webster, and so it was put on there to protect the
       action.

  Q. But why not have it 'Webster also known as Steel'?
I mean... Sorry, why not have it 'Steel also known as
       Webster'?
       A. Well, I mean that is a decision for the lawyers. But
clearly you were known in the group, as a result of our
agents who went in, as Helen Steel. They all recorded you
       as Helen Steel.

  Q. Right. But you sure, are you, that when these Special
Branch officers pointed out the photographs they did not
say to you 'This is Webster'?
       A. No.

  Q. Or 'We have got information on Webster'?
       A. No.

  Q. Or whatever?
       A. No. They did not tell me much about you at all other
than that you were engaged in London Greenpeace, your name
was Helen Steel, and then it was believed you may use the
