: I think that animal testing is fine. After doing a little research, I found that companies that do test animals breed them for that purpose. They don't just pick them out of the wild and kill them, so its not like the animals being tested are on the verge of extinction! Also in most cases I have discovered that 62% of the time the animal doesn't die, granted it probably gets sick but because of these animals people survive. I don't agree totally with cosmetic testing but for medical purposes, its definately needed. We could find the cure for AIDS with the help of a tested chimp!

Fist of all no animal should be bred for the purpose of being tortured in labs. The animals that do not die in the test do not live very long afterwards. The rabbits that are in cosmetics tests are blind, dogs are shot with high powered weapons so that doctors can try to fix them. Oh, this test is done with dog in fully awake and without any drugs. Every test causes an extreme amount of pain to every animal envolved. No matter what you have been told this is how it is. Humans have no right to treat animals in this way.
