This is why I am a supporter of the Union democracy movement.

You're quite right. This is why I am a supporter of the Union democracy movement. I am a member of the union democracy movement in my union, the UFCW. The TDU in the Teamsters is an example. We fight the fight for better contracts, more membership participation instead of paid staff, more militant and greater support for strikes, having our unions do more organizing and reducing union leadership salaries to that of the workers they represent. These are the folks that you'll see leading the wildcat strikes of the world.

Instead of breaking away from the established unions, we are trying to
reform them, and empowering the members that they already have, instead of trying to organize them into new ones. Your strategy may someday be
necessary, but right now I'm going to try to reform what we already have.

Oh yeah, and I'm also a member of the Labor Party, trying to end that long and abusive relationship between Labor and the Democrats.
