European military forces...

When Russia collapsed there was only one military superpower left (USA). There are some, quite a lot, European politicians who wants that the countries in the EU (15 countries) shall have a common army that should be able to act in for example Kosovo without any help from USA.
That would of course be a big one. I think that it sometimes is good that there isn't only one "superpower", but I'm not very fond of the idea. Shouldn't we use more money for food to poor countries and other really important things? What do you think? A common European army...
