Power alone is not enough to insure its continuation (think about Khrushchev). Only your venerated property rights can do that.

Look at the collapse of the Soviet Union for expatiation on the topic.

At last you are getting the gist of it.

You defend a social structure that permits inequality because you benefit from (or think you do; or anticipate you will) its inequality.

I propose a social structure where there is economic (and political) equality because I haven't benefited from THIS inequal system.

Simple dialetical materialism.
