(haven't you bothered to read anything about the UK libel laws?)

The verdict simply means the the defendants failed to prove all the critisisms were true to the degree required by the law and the judge.
The verdict does not mean the claims were false at all since the burden
of proof is on the defence.

Further more.. the judge actually ruled in favour of the defendant claims on several major issues. They include the FACT that McDonald's pay low wages, the FACT that McDonald's is responsible for cruelty to animals, the FACT that children are targetted by McDonald's advertising and that is exploitative.

So it's hardly a victory for McDonald's (however much they would like it to seem one).
