Ownership kissing our asses because of union

I work at a franchised McDs in B.C, last week all the restaurants in town (which are all under the same ownership) had a big meeting. The crew, managers and ownership were at this meeting. Did they suck up to us! They're sacared shit that we might form a union. Whoever those girls were that formed that first union in Squamish, they have done me and other workers, as well, a big favour. Even if our restaurent never unionizes, their union has helped us. As now we are being treated better, and are being listened if there's a problem, wheather it's bad managers, safety concerns or proceedures, the owner is now taking time to genuinely listen.
