Day 055 - 25 Nov 94 - Page 52

The Food Commission are said to be yourself and
       Dr. Lobstein; is that right?
       A. They are -- we are.

  Q. I was going to ask you whether it was correct. Then we
see, in the second column, underneath the entry about
Living Earth, underneath the thick black line, that The
Food Magazine is published quarterly by The Food
Commission. Then we see, beside the square blobs at the
bottom of the page: "This edition has been edited by Tim
Lobstein and Sue Dibb." Is that true -- was it?
       A. Yes.

MR. MORRIS: Actually, it says it is published by the Soil
Association in the first paragraph, not The Food
       Commission.

MR. RAMPTON: Would you read the part, please, Ms. Dibb, which
says The Food magazine is published quarterly by The Food
       Commission?

  MR. MORRIS: Sorry.

THE WITNESS: Yes. It is a joint magazine, so the magazine
       itself is jointly published.

MR. RAMPTON: Yes, I understand that. But your contribution
forms part of the quarterly publication?
       A. Yes.

  Q. Would you turn over, please, to page 3, where we find a
leading article: "Small-fry shake big Mac". May I call it
a leading article? It is on the first news page.
       A. Yes.

  Q. Who wrote it?
       A. This was written by one of the people who works in our
       office.

  Q. Did you edit this article?
       A. I have seen this article. I did not work on it,
       myself.

  Q. Did Mr. Lobstein work on it?
       A. He might have done, but I would have to check with
       him. I cannot confirm that.

  Q. I ask you to read it yourself, and then tell me when you
       have finished reading it. (Pause)

Would you agree with me that the first part, almost the
whole of the first two columns of that article, down to the
first black diamond, purport to be some kind of report of
       the proceedings in this case?
       A. I would agree that they report what I imagine is some
of the case. I cannot say to what extent it may be more
       than some of that.

  Q. Who wrote this article?
       A. We have a number of people who come and contribute
