  MR. RAMPTON: Orangeville, Ontario.

  MR. JUSTICE BELL: Orangeville, Ontario.

MR. MORRIS: Sorry, the Sarah Ingliss.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: It was "Canada" dispute not "cantor"
       dispute.
       A. Oh, I am sorry.

MR. MORRIS: Sorry about that, Canada dispute. You have said
       that both parties made allegations?
       A. Not only both parties -- well, there was more than just
both parties. The employees intervened in that matter
right from the get go, and they filed allegations of
violations as well that they had been coerced and
intimidated by the union into signing cards.

  Q. Sarah Ingliss, the 16 year old girl, who organised a branch
of McDonald's, had intimidated their employees -- that was
one of the allegations by McDonald's?
       A. First of all, she was not 16 years of age. She was 19,
I believe, years of age and she is the daughter of the
union president. So we are not talking about someone who
is naive and innocent of the ways of these matters.

  Q. We will find out her age when she attends as a witness, but
the point being, Mr. Stein, that even when there is a
dispute and violations, alleged violations, are lodged,
such as McDonald's or Mr. Valentine, or whatever, in that
dispute, the violations can be dropped as part of some kind
of mutual agreement; is that not correct?
       A. That is correct.

  Q. In that case McDonald's dropped its allegations, did it
not, as part of an agreement to have a ballot?
       A. I do not recall McDonald's Corporation having
       allegations.

  Q. Whoever it was -----
       A. And I am not sure and I am not positive Mr. Valentine
had specific allegations. There were allegations against
the union. My recollection is for the most part they were
by the employees against the union. There may have been
       some against Mr. Valentine.

  Q. Whatever the allegations were, whoever made them, the
allegations against the union were dropped when an
agreement was made, were they not?
       A. The employees wanted an election and would agree to
drop their concern. The matter was -----

  Q. So it does not matter -----
       A. Excuse me a second. Let me answer the question. You
asked a question, let me answer the question.

  Q. We can be here tomorrow as well.

MR. JUSTICE BELL: Yes, but if you have asked the question, the
