SDF: Did you think I was an agent provocateur?

I have a list, this list, this list is of known McDonalds employees who donned black masks and broke windows in Seattle.

: And, as for "apolitical thugs," what's their excuse? Being in the pay of the "security" forces? Maybe they didn't get jobs with Milosevic or the State Department?

Or maybe they're just apolitical thugs. Thugs don't need an excuse to be violent jerks. Or maybe they were agents provacateurs. I'd like to know for sure.

: : I know the damned WTO is a weapon, but a meeting of WTO reps, all sitting in a room and talking, does not have the immediate violence of police beating union organizers, or protesters breaking McDonald's windows, and like it or not, people react to immediate violence first, and only consider the indirect violence of sedate corporate meetings in the absence of anything more fiery.

: SDF: Hitler had lots of "sedate corporate meetings" too. Did you have to see him strangling all six million Jews with his own bare hands before you noticed the connection between him and Auschwitz?

That's right, he did. And if there were violent protests (prior to his assumption of power, when all became obvious) outside his offices, combined with a status quo media, then who do you think the masses would find at fault? You can't ignore the power of superficial images, SDF.

: There are people out there who aren't going to wait until the bubble bursts and the American working class is "no longer needed". Are you one of them?

*Taking a deep breath, trying not to be pissed* I am outraged by the WTO and predatory international capitalism, and I do and will protest by peaceful means, including nonviolent civil disobedience and if all hell should finally break loose and we are all left with violence or death...well, having never been in that Guatemala-type situation, I don't know what I'd do, and I hope to never have to find out.
