: Agents Provacteurs are always a possibility, but so are sincere protesters who turn violent, plus the usual gang of apolitical thugs who use any excuse for violence.

SDF: Did you think I was an agent provocateur?

And, as for "apolitical thugs," what's their excuse? Being in the pay of the "security" forces? Maybe they didn't get jobs with Milosevic or the State Department?

: I know the damned WTO is a weapon, but a meeting of WTO reps, all sitting in a room and talking, does not have the immediate violence of police beating union organizers, or protesters breaking McDonald's windows, and like it or not, people react to immediate violence first, and only consider the indirect violence of sedate corporate meetings in the absence of anything more fiery.

SDF: Hitler had lots of "sedate corporate meetings" too. Did you have to see him strangling all six million Jews with his own bare hands before you noticed the connection between him and Auschwitz?

There are people out there who aren't going to wait until the bubble bursts and the American working class is "no longer needed". Are you one of them?
