I think you're barking up the wrong tree using narrow dichotomies such as these.

Fascism is a form of collectivism or 'tribalism' in that is subsumes each to all (the state, race and nation supposedly represent all) so does that mean its the same as communism which is also collectivism?

Stay away from 'neato' pigeon holing - it'll lead you nowhere fast.
