Doesn't matterwhat Lenin was, Russia was a State Capitalist system- actually, in 1921 Lenin said Capitalism would be a step forwards for Russia. The Bolsheviks may have called themselves a communist party (They never called Russia anything other than Socialist actually, and that was wrong), but teh system they presided ovr was state capitalist.

Hmmm turn of the century it was, and it tends towards being as Laissez faire as you can sensibly get, though the American economy did bare startling resemblances to the USSR's. More Similar than you'd think.
